INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF INVENTIONS OF GENEVA A SUCCESSFUL 48TH EDITION! – MONDAY, 1 MAY 2023 – In 2023, after two virtual editions, the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva attracted 23,969 visitors over five days, and lived up to its promise with an exceptional number and quality of exhibitors. Nearly a thousand inventions from all over the world, including medical, environmental and IT inventions, were exhibited exclusively at the show. The opportunity for industry professionals to obtain licenses, purchase patents and conclude manufacturing contracts. The Grand Prix 2023, the highest distinction at the Exhibition of Inventions, was awarded to the University of Versailles, represented by Sébastien Floquet and Aneta Ozieranska, for a food supplement that strengthens bees against external aggression. 2022 BUSINESS REPORT Palexpo’s 2022 business report is now online – MONDAY, 24 MAY 2023 – Palexpo’s formidable ability to adapt, and the trust placed in us by all our clients, have enabled us to bring together, for high-quality events, visitors from all walks of life. All these forces have generated direct economic benefits of CHF 219 million for the Canton of Geneva. Throughout the year, the company strengthened its social and environmental commitments through many tangible actions. A year marked by reunions Palexpo hosted regional and international trade and consumer events, attracting no less than 445,000 participants. The Arena also put on a very fine cultural season, with some sixty shows, many of them sold out. An ever more exemplary triple economic, social and environmental approach. Welcome to the haven of high precision from 14 to 17 June! EPHJ is 20 years old! – TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 2022 – For 20 years, Switzerland’s largest trade fair has brought together professionals from the high-precision industry and for the watchmaking-jewellery, microtechnology and medtech sectors. This anniversary edition will focus on innovation, employment with a day dedicated to job dating, business and youth.   More than 700 exhibitors to dive into the heart of watchmaking innovation and discover the new trends in terms of watch purchases revealed by the results of a survey carried out among 16-25 year-old, 6 years ago.

Le salon du livre en ville FOCUS ON THE BOOK FAIR IN TOWN! – TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2022 – Literature is in full swing as the “Salon du livre en ville” is about to open! Come and discover the programme which will be held from May 18 to 22 on the Promenade de la Treille, its central location, and in various emblematic places of the city.  It is still time to sign up for one of the many events or book signings offered over 4 days. An eclectic programme of readings, meetings, storytelling, debates on current affairs, comics, thrillers, children’s literature as well as African literature with the award of the Kourouma prize.  The programme will be supported by Laurent Gaudé (a guest of honour awarded the Prix Goncourt and lover of aloud reading) as well as renowned authors such as Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Raphaël Enthoven, Richard Malka (lawyer of Charlie Hebdo and Mila), Isabelle Carré (actress and writer), Mathias Malzieu (singer of the group Dionysos), Nancy Huston, Hubert Védrine, Constance Debré and Agnès Martin-Lugand, to name but a few. artgenève artgenève inaugurates a return to normal at Palexpo – Monday, March 7, 2022 – artgenève, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, has just closed its doors. An edition, rich in novelties, which attracted the public enthused by face to face and artistic encounters. In 2021, the activity had resumed in Monaco with artmonte-carlo. An ecological commitment PALEXPO CONFIRMS ITS ECOLOGICAL COMMITMENT – Monday, March 14, 2022 – ProCert is renewing the ISO 20121:2012 certification awarded to Palexpo for 3 years in 2019. This certification confirms a responsible management system for events organised at Palexpo. The Geneva Biennale Sculpture Garden The Geneva Biennale Sculpture Garden is in place until 30 September. – FRIDAY 10 JUNE 2022 – Throughout the summer, Sculpture Garden will form a path punctuated by numerous artistic projects from the Parc des Eaux-Vives to the Parc La Grange and the new Eaux-Vives beach. Curated by Devrim Bayar, curator of the WIELS contemporary art centre in Brussels, the Biennale includes 26 works, more than half of which are produced especially for the exhibition and constitutes a quality cultural event accessible to all. For its third edition, the Geneva Biennale Sculpture Garden will focus on contemporary artists who question our relationships to others and to ourselves, in an increasingly unstable environment into which technologies shape our subjectivities.
