Geneva and Palexpo to host
the world’s largest space congress in 2029

From 8 to 12 October 2029, Palexpo will host the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the leading annual gathering of the global space community. This 80th edition will bring together more than 10,000 participants from space agencies, industry, research institutions, start-ups and government bodies from around the world.

The international space community has selected the Swiss bid to host this major event, further reinforcing Geneva’s appeal as a destination for international congresses and highlighting Palexpo’s ability to welcome world-class events.

A true hub for exchange and innovation in the space sector, the IAC brings together experts, decision-makers, researchers, entrepreneurs and astronauts each year to share knowledge, showcase the latest developments in the field and strengthen international cooperation.

Under the theme “Celebrating Space, Building Trust”, Geneva and Palexpo will become the meeting point for the international space community in October 2029.
