Chief Communicating Officer (CCO)
EuroSkills is the official European Championship for young skilled professionals under the age of 25 in crafts, industry, and services, bringing together up to 700 young talents from at least 30 nations to compete at the highest level in 45 trades.
EuroSkills 2029 will take place in Geneva, Switzerland from September 26th to 30th. This landmark event will welcome more than 100’000 visitors at Palexpo, engage international partners, and showcase the
excellence and future of vocational training.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead multi-channel communication with strong narrative and message consistency.
• Manage production workflows, visual identity, protocol, and data-driven campaign optimization.
• Build and maintain relationships with associations, institutional partners, and key stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on communication strategies and commercial positioning; support crisis communication when needed.
• Oversee partnership delivery: visibility, activations, content, and brand compliance.
• Direct media relations, press materials, anticipate sensitive topics and support crisis readiness.
• Ensure real-time event communication with strong storytelling around competitions and key moments.
• Coordinate legacy initiatives and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
Candidate Profile
• Proven experience in leading communication, brand, media relations, and PR functions across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong ability to structure and drive the full communication workflow.
• High proficiency in coordination, negotiation, conflict management, and navigating institutional dynamics.
• Deep understanding of omnichannel communication, including vendor management and governance of validation processes.
• High commitment to education, skills development, young people, economy and international cooperation.
• Fluent in French (mandatory); excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of German is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, courage, persistence and the ability to work in a multicultural environment and at different levels.
