 | The 4th edition of the Swiss Tuning Show filled the exhibition halls of PALEXPO to capacity in May. Some 15,700 visitors came to enjoy nearly 950 customized automobiles and marvel at the colourful demonstrations on the drift track.
There was a joyous mood among the nearly 15,700 visitors who flocked to the STS in spite of the warm, sunny weather on the Whitsun weekend. They came to admire the modified vehicles and enjoy the spectacular and highly intense demonstrations of drifting, burns and acrobatic motorcycle leaps on the Esplanade of Hall 6.
For the first time, this event successfully integrated the traditional tuning displays with specialized sections such as VW Beetles and customized American cars.
The Audi Sport Club presented a sporting theme with their exhibition and won the “Largest Club Display” trophy with 41 models, including some that are unique in the world. It was one of the 25 clubs which spared no effort in presenting their vehicles from their best angle.
Nearly 700 private owners of such vehicles made the journey to Geneva from Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and Portugal to present their “pride and joys”, increasing to 950 the number of vehicles on display during the two days of the Show. The standard of quality of customizing was very high.
