| Nominated in July by the Board of Directors of the Orgexpo foundation, responsible for the management and promotion of GENEVA PALEXPO, Claude Membrez took over the position of Director General on Monday November 1st. |

Graduate of the hotel management college in Lausanne with the benefit of a certificate of company management ( HEC - University of Lausanne ), Claude Membrez (aged 39) has occupied management and director positions in the hotel industry in Switzerland, France and Canada. From the launch of the project in 1997, he has been responsible for the management of the exhibition center "Fribourg Forum" and has managed the operation since 1999.
His first mission will consist of managing and developing the activities of GENEVA PALEXPO, while overseeing the retention of knowledge and the harmonious running of existing events.
His first move was to call a meeting of all staff with coffee and croissants.
At this meeting, he declared, "At GENEVA PALEXPO, we have an exceptional infrastructure recognised at a national and international level. But, particularly in our profession, it is just as much the quality of our services and human relations with our clients and partners which will be the determining factors of our success. I know that I can have confidence in each of you to follow me in this mission".
